Goldfield Ghost Town

Later Sat. afternoon we went to Goldfield Ghost Town. We had gone before but Maddie was just a baby so we decided to go again. We rode the train and learned many interesting facts about the good old AZ wild wild west..... did you know the men to women ratio back in the day were 80 men to 1 women??!! The women back then had no problems getting dates I'm sure. We also went through the rattlesnakes/spiders/scorpions etc.... creepy crawlers exhibit. Yuck!!!! The girls loved seeing all the snakes shedding their skin. Then we just enjoyed the "old town" and the nice, nice day. It just started to sprinkle rain when we left. What a fun Saturday!

Family fun Bike ride!

Our girls love to ride bikes.... since it was a really nice cool morning this past Sat. we went for a short little jaunt. It was fun, and we hope to make it a weekly outing.

1st day of Kindergarten!

Our sweet Carys Leigh started Kindergarten this week! She was so excited.....mommy was sooo sad. I actually had to tell myself "hold it together" ....sorry but 7 hrs of school per day is way too much in my opinion! I want my little buddy hangin' around me. She LOVES every minute of school....It's me who is struggling :) When we dropped her off she said mommy are you going home to cry all day because you miss me? I'm feeling pretty good and I have adjusted fine..... it's pretty fun for Madison and I to hang out all day and it's nice to have 1 on 1 time with her. Carys' only complaint so far is she's dying to ride the bus with her friends.....Daddy is not to excited about it but he has agreed after many tears from Carys to let her try tomorrow (only going home) & ride the BUS. It must be a school right of passage....I don't know about you but she wants an unairconditioned slow ride home instead of curbside ice cold AC possibly treats included DVD etc.... pick ups from mommy??!?! The grass is always greener on the other side. We'll see though :) She has made some great friends this week and loves it so far!

Dress up fun, loving sisters!

Meet the Teacher..... Mrs. Gould

We met Carys' new Kindergarten teacher last week, Mrs. Gould. Everything we hear she's the best teacher this side of mars.... we are thrilled and Carys sure loves her.

Hike with Daddy to Horton Springs

This past weekend the girls went on a fun, long hike with daddy while mommy was flying. It was 8 miles total!! Wow! Daddy carried both girls for 2 of the last 4 miles......Madison was asleep in the backpack and Carys was on daddy's shoulders! What a workout! I wish I had a picture of that!!! They loved it and had a great time enjoying the cooler weather! Thanks daddy for a fun daddy daughter date!

In the middle of HOT July, Christina and I decided to take the kids for a fun filled day at the AZ Science Center. The ratio kids to moms was 7:2...... we survived and had a great day there. The kids had a blast and to see more fun pictures from super mama Christina go here
