Aloha!! Well these pictures are from a layover I just had In Kona, Hawaii. The trip was crazy to say the least.... my flight canceled going over so I flew as a passenger into Honolulu, Oahu then hopped over to Kona. I was determined to make it due to the fact it was the only island of Hawaii I hadn't been to. Got a rental car upon arrival and Of Course declined the insurance coverage (because who really gets it right... they just want to make more $$$) left the airport, headed to our beautiful hotel then bang.... got rear ended. Huge blow, some whiplash later, got info etc... figured no biggie we have an Island to see! The following am we found out Hawaii is a no fault state. Great, it doesn't matter who's fault a crash is, you fix your car and they fix their's. Horrible law I must say. So, then having a very clever idea to fix it ourselves, half way through the day after lunch in Hilo we stopped at Checker Auto, got a repair kit, touch up paint, clear coat, wet sander etc.... and went to town. It looked ok I guess, but would the rental company buy it??!? We got an A for effort! Time would tell, so then we decided to go rompin in our Grand Prix, across lava fields, to get it very dusty/dirty to add to our great plan. Hoping they would never see. Well, IT WORKED! It's a good day, saving hundreds of dollars later, we had an amazing trip. Enjoy the Pic's! Mahalo
